# Understand Flow Exit Rules

> Learn how contacts automatically exit your automated message flows.

Exit Rules determine who will leave an Experience if their conditions are met.

We have 2 system default exit rules, and 1 configurable exit rule:

* When a subscriber orders while in an Experience (configurable)
* When a subscriber doesn’t respond for 48 hours, delays set in Experiences will not be impacted (system default)
* When an Experience is finished sending (system default)
