With Conversational Segments, you can target your customers based on how they respond to conversations in Emotive. Learn about your customers, and we’ll help you build hyper-personalized segments that you can use to retarget later. Create segments based on insights collected through conversations, such as shopping preferences (size, color, style) or attributes (occupation, hair color, age group).

Build a new Conversational Segment

Before getting started, make sure that you have a two-way Conversation Flow set up. Each question has a series of answer tags that we generate through Experiences. Our Shopping Experts will tag each customer response accordingly. To build a new Conversational Segment:
  • Navigate to Segments from your Emotive dashboard.
  • Click Create New Segment.
  • Name your segment.
  • Under your Segment Rules, select What a subscriber has done (or not done) from the dropdown.
  • Select Replied to a text from the following dropdown.
  • Select the desired Conversational experience.
  • Choose which answer(s) you’d like to target.
  • Click Create Segment.
