Static Codes vs. Dynamic Codes
When using discount codes in Flows, you have two options: a static code or a dynamic code. Before we walk through instructions on how to add them to your Flows, let’s explore the key differences between the two. A static discount code is a single phrase or alphanumeric string that gives a user a specific discount (i.e., WELCOME20). Each subscriber receives the same code to use on your site. A dynamic discount code is a random series of numbers or letters that a recipient can use one time. A unique discount code is generated for each recipient, so no two recipients will have the same code. You must be a Shopify business in order to use Dynamic Codes at Emotive.
